MORE
AND MORE, humanity seems to be creating a world of extremes
for ourselves. The rich get r icher,
the poor are getting poorer, and those hearty souls who once made up
a thriving "middle class" are steadily becoming a rare commodity,
indeed.
The Bridge
People are those who help modulate and harmonize the energies of
Planet Earth (Terra) as she passes through the most difficult
transition of her existence. Since the "bridging" concept is
something that happens on many levels, it can truthfully be said
that Bridge People come in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Another
term that has been applied to us is "Neo-Shamans." Concerning this
latter type of being, The Reconnections have had this to say:
The
Spirituality of the Nineties was a hybrid creature. It was a
mixture of knowledge and traditions that are as new as last
Monday, and as old as the trees and stony guardians that stand
along the coastline and commune with the sea. In the same way that
the United States has become a "melting pot" for the Earth,
gathering together a vast number of beings - diverse in race,
creed, and national origin - so the faith that ushers in this New
Era has become a kind of "soup" that is made up of the best and
most flavorful portions of nearly every religious and
philosophical tradition that has come before, plus some new
elements that are just now making their entrance into physical
life and reality.
As
leadership for this "new" experience, we can surely accept nothing
less than the BEST of what has come before. Whether one visualizes
them as resurrected, born again, the result of reincarnation, or
simply Gods and Goddesses come down to mix with mo rtals
- there will appear shortly, upon the face of the Earth, a race of
priests and rulers - the souls of ancient and beloved Shamans and
Druids, come back to experience the final "act" of this play.
Indeed, they live and breathe upon the planet as we speak. Many of
them have purposefully "forgotten" who and what they are. They
wake up to normal jobs, as did Richard Bach's "reluctant Messiah,"
yet they surely are not "normal." They sit beside you at the
diner, shop in your grocery stores, and lie on beaches reading
books and magazines.
These are
the Children of Oneness, aged and seasoned to meet the need which
shall surely soon present itself! Though they were born "from the
old ways" and steeped in ancient customs and bygone disciplines,
they return today to stand beneath the Tree of Life. As thunder
rolls and temporary chaos shakes the Tree, these wise and wondrous
beings shall catch the ripe fruit, precisely where it falls.
When I think
of such a dichotomy - an "average Joe or Jane" who turns out to be a
reincarnated Angel or a Druid - it thrills me. And it doesn't matter
much what others believe about us, as much as it matters what we are
ready to believe about ourselves.
Mystical
Power and Illusions
The recent appearance of yet another "Superman" movie brings all
this to the forefront. One thing that always flabbergasted me about
this guy, over the years, was the fact that simply putting on or
taking off a pair of glasses was the primary dividing line between
his being Clark Kent (normal guy) and becoming the "Man of Steel." I
mean... what's up with that? Couldn't anyone with two eyes be able
to see through such a disguise?
Not really.
The metaphor of putting on and taking off glasses illustrates the
power that "self realization" (or lack thereof) has in the life of a
Bridge Person. When we are wearing our "glasses" (our 3D perceptual
filters), we tend to FORGET who and what we are - and where we came
from. As we forget, our whole world forgets right along with us.
That is because WE ARE THE WORLD. Everything and everyone in our
world is simply a mirror reflection of who we are, at all our
various levels.
There are
times when we choose to take off our filters... (or they
accidentally get knocked off, such as might happen in a trauma
injury). Suddenly we get a vivid glimpse of who we are, and who we
could be. The memory stays for a time, and then we find those
glasses, so we can go back to being Clark Kent again.
Salvador
Dali once said: "The primary difference between me and an insane man
is: I am not insane!" I always double over laughing when I read
that. Dali was a Bridge Person, to be sure, who used an artistic
medium to provide his world with a unique and irreplaceable view of
life in the abstract. He created his own reality, personally
validated it, and then invited us all in for a grand tour.
Isn't it
interesting that, when a homeless man acts irrationally, he is
automatically labeled "crazy"... whereas, when a rich man behaves in
the same way, he
is
said to be "eccentric?" Ironic, yes? In a world of commerce and
"healing for hire," someone with insurance and resources has a much
brighter prognosis than someone who has no money to pay for care -
especially if he is alone, confused, frightened, or at odds with
himself.
Our
Psychiatric Hospitals today are filled with would-be, could-be
geniuses - many of whom are regularly medicated, being diagnosed as
"Multiple Personality," "Schizoid," "Bi-Polar," and so forth. They
get locked up because they can't quite get their Clark Kent glasses
on and they can't completely take them off, either. They live in an
"in-between place" which sometimes scares the daylights out of them.
Legally, a
person can only get hospitalized if he is a danger to himself or to
society. Yet many folks manage to get locked up because they simply
can't function, knowing what they know and seeing what they see.
They are immobilized, and all they end up wanting is someone to look
after them. It is my profound belief that many of these institutions
could be emptied out if there was someone who could communicate with
these souls that they aren't aliens, and find a way to collate and
validate the alternative realities they are accessing. Many of them
are actually spiritual channels, though they haven't yet remembered
it.
If a person
can't unify his inner world and outer world... if he has no mental
framework upon which to hang his "paintings"...
he
becomes willing to succumb to some label, given to him by a
physician who, in many cases, is as much in the dark about him as he
is.
And so...
the putting on and taking off of "glasses" (personal perceptual
filters) not only colors and frames our concept of who we are - it
also colors what others are willing to believe about us as well.
Even Superman had to go to his "crystal palace," to be educated
about his heritage and his powers. Remember those crystal wands from
the movie? Each time he placed one in the machine, he heard more and
more about the Planet Krypton and why he had been sent to Earth. I
believe that each "Bridge Person" or "Neo-Shaman" has a similar
"de-briefing" experience in store. They take on many forms.
Loneliness, Only-ness, and Bridgework
Those newer readers who find themselves confused about the ideas of
Universal Oneness and Multidimensionality that
permeate
my writings are encouraged to brush up on these concepts by going to
the overview of "The
Reconnections Message" on my Web Site. Some of what you
encounter in these articles may seem quite foreign to you, in the
beginning. Though I try to define new terms as I go along, there is
also a "Reconnections
Glossary" on the site if you wish to go even further in
understanding the conceptual framework which has been given to us by
the Guides.
Continuing
to describe the inner workings of the "Neo-Shaman" or "Bridge
Person," the Recons have this to add:
The
Spirit of Oneness calls forth its leaders by peeling away their
Veil of Forgetfulness, like layers of an onion. As in days of old,
the leader will not seek this post - but rather, each simply
acquiesces to his assigned duty through finding that he can
literally do nothing else!
At this
present time, the hours and days before the Grand Acceleration,
the heat through the ozone is systematically melting away the
conformity of these dear people to the ways of a world that is
dying, or has died. The Neo-Shaman, slowly coming to himself, is
often confused and wincing in emotional pain.
The
budding leader's fundamentally social nature has instilled within
his personality a deep desire to belong and to make a positive
contribution to the local community. However, his energy patterns
and shifting rate of vibration make it nearly impossible for him
to remain in close proximity to another individual or a group for
long at a time. This anomaly... while being his true salvation,
also feels like his greatest curse.
One key
characteristic of a Bridge
Person is the feeling of loneliness that accompanies him or her
through life. Many of us feel alien in our own families (as though
the stork made a mistake when he delivered us), and we often go
through our formative years being baffled when it comes to dealing
with "regular folks" (muggles)
in daily life. No wonder those "Harry Potter Books" have become so
popular!
The Recons
refer to this isolated feeling as "only-ness," since it leaves us
with the impression that we are the ONLY ONES who are having this
experience. Indeed, my research and my work of outreach since 1987
has had, at its
core,
a deep aim to alleviate as much "only-ness" as I can - through
channeled teachings, discussion lists online,
Conclaves and
Gatherings, articles, and my own internal "grid
work", which is offered to assist the planet as she evolves.
As this
series continues, I hope to get more into depth about how each type
of "Bridge Person" functions. There are many types of them: Schizos,
Eccentrics, Bi-Polars, Androgynes, Cross-genders, Telepaths,
Multiples, Empaths, Mystics, Neo-Shamans, Star Kids, and many more.
Each orientation has a distinctive flavor and purpose all its own.
Some of the
most innovative and exciting material I have written in this regard
is the material on "Spiritual
Gifts," which is the centering point for our
Reconnections
Conclave, to be held in Sedona, Arizona this October. If you can
join us there, I feel quite certain you will be thrilled and
activated! If not, there are some free downloads of past
Teleclasses you
can enjoy - giving a clear overview of the material, and where we
plan to go with it from here. More to come next month!
