IN
AN EARLIER segment of this series, I mentioned the concept
of "Soul Contracts." Basically, we are speaking here about
agreements that have made between two or more participants in a Game
of Life - so as to determine what roles each person is meant to play
out as a
story
plot develops. Soul Contracts are pre-incarnate, though they can be
altered or aborted at any time, if that fits the needs of all
concerned. And really, time means nothing in the final equation. In
the Multiverse, all time
is NOW, and all "pre-incarnate" Contracts are being signed at
some level of Eternal NOW. Still, for purposes of linear discussion,
it does seem fitting to lay things out in a sequential fashion, so
long as the reader understands the greater ramifications of what is
involved.
The Reconnections often
use the analogy of producing a stage play, when speaking about the
development of a Life Game
here in the World of Form. There is a Director, a Stage Designer,
Actors, Prop Masters, an Audience, and multitudinous lines that need
to be read. In other transmissions, they use the analogy of
motion pictures,
paintings, or novels. They do this to
illustrate
the dynamic of what is involved as we become human, laying aside the
rest of our vast spiritual heritage and abilities as we do.
I think it
was Wayne Dyer who said: "We are not human beings who have spiritual
experiences. We are really spiritual beings having a human
experience." Soul Contracts are necessary for the implementation of
such experiences. Watching someone become physical is like watching
the CEO of a powerful Business Conglomerate take a couple of weeks
off from his decision-making role so he can visit a Dude Ranch,
somewhere in Texas, and shovel horse manure to attain rest and
rejuvenation. He rides the trails, bails hay, eats a hearty
breakfast, breathes free, watches the sun rise and set, and lives
out someone else's journey for a week or two. It's wonderful, is it
not?
Bridging the Human and the Divine
It
was said of Jesus Christ that, in a moment of time, he laid aside
his "former estate" as the Son of God and came to earth, being found
in fashion as a man. I once had a teacher who described the
transition thusly: "To fully grasp what Jesus endured to come here
and be one with us, it might be helpful to picture what it would be
like for you to suddenly become a slug."
The above
analogy need only be as insulting as one's attitude towards slugs,
bacteria, earthworms, or any of God's humble creatures. We humans
definitely tend to be hierarchal in our view of life on this planet,
do we not? Are humans meant to be the top of the food chain?
My answer to
that would be: Yes, we are ... to the extent that we also become
willing to unite with everything and everyone, as Christ
did, becoming doorways for infinite connection to all life,
everywhere. In a theater, all doors have "exit" printed above them.
Does entering into you become an "exit" from a World of Limitation,
Pain, and Lack?
Jesus once
said: "Come unto me, all ye who are weary, and I will give you
rest." I suspect that the translator of that phrase left out
something. He left out a "the" that belongs in front of the word
"rest."
"Come unto
me, and I will give you the rest of who you are." You will
pass from Separation/Limitation to Reconnection with All That Is.
"This is only part of you. Now let us introduce you to the REST of
whom and what you are." And we're not talking about taking a cat
nap, either. We're talking about translation from being a slug to
once again being restored to a position of Inestimable Power and
Being.
But let's
get away from Christian analogies for a moment, as I realize that
many are quite allergic to them, having had religion crammed down
their throats as youngsters. Let's attend a more neutral venue for
our illustrations - the movies! In the original "Matrix"
series, starring Keanu Reeves and Lawrence Fishburne, the story plot
explored the idea
of
an artificial dream world that had been created, wherein human souls
are enslaved, and stimulated to produce electromagnetic energy in
their bodies as a result of dream stimulations that are fed into
their brains from some central database. The "construct" in which
these dreams are played out is called "The Matrix."
The central
character of the story is "Neo" ... a name which, ironically, is the
word "one", jumbled up. As the movie progresses, Neo (The One) is
told about a glitch in the Matrix that involves him (and all of us,
who care to think of ourselves as Bridge People). It is Neo's
mentor, Morpheus, who originally tells him the story:
"When the
Matrix was first built, there was a man born inside, who had the
ability to change whatever he wanted ... to remake the Matrix as he
saw fit. It was he who freed the first of us and taught us the truth
that, as long as the Matrix exists, the human race will never be
free. When he died, it was prophesied that he would return, and
would finally free us, and complete that important task."
The word
"Christ," in the Greek Language, literally means "anointed one." In
the movie series "Star
Wars," written and produced by George Lucas, the central
character is a fellow named Anakin Skywalker. He, it is told to us,
is also anointed, and destined to bring balance to
the Force, thereby restoring freedom and justice to the Galaxy.
As the story
plot opens (in Part 4, released in 1977), Anakin is said to be dead,
and his son Luke Skywalker appears to be all that is left of that
destiny. In truth, Anakin is alive, but has been seduced by the Dark
Side of the Force, allowing himself to become Darth Vader, a
powerful leader who helps the Evil Empire rule over humanity
(creating yet another form of The Matrix) thereby keeping
us in bondage to fear and limitation.
A Bridge
Person is at the center of these story plots - the "Christos," if
you will - being born and indoctrinated in the world's wisdom (as
Moses was raised in Pharaoh's court). It is he who excites our
imagination - or our pathos, as she struggles with Limitation
Heritages, attachments to Earth, and with influences (both Dark and
Light) that come upon her from The Expanded Realms. The One
frequently begins his "Hero's Quest" in denial, only to be
quickened, again and again, until he finally takes up the mantle of
his true destiny.
"He's Beginning to Believe ..."
Even
though Neo, in The Matrix, originally denies his heritage
as "The One," circumstances arise that change his mind completely -
activating his latent powers and bringing him fully "online" in his
pursuit of a worthy goal.
Love is
involved with this process (it always is), as Neo fights to save
Trinity (a lovely woman, who carries a very fitting name). At one
point, Trinity gazes at a transforming Neo and says to Morpheus:
"What's happening to him?" To this Morpheus replies: "He's beginning
to believe."
In today's
world, the role of Christos is worn by each of us, if we become
ready and begin to believe. Jesus said to us, before he
departed: "The things I do YOU shall do also, and greater things,
because I go to my Father."
Each person
is actually a universe unto himself. Uni = ONE. Every person, place,
or object in each universe is a mirror for some aspect of the One
who is creating it. This is the central tenet of Metaphysical Truth.
A Bridge must be strong enough to contain both "sides" of any
polarization. He must think of himself as God, and also the devil...
who always was an aspect of the God who created him.
In humans,
The Devil is our Separated Ego, our determination to remain distinct
from everything else, in charge of everything, an Icon of Power. All
"Gods" are also aspects of Human Ego, being made by us in accordance
with our innate desire to deny divinity, as we play out our Game.
Classic "Deities" learn how to control humanity through taking on
our divine essence and turning it back on us. They say: "I am the
One. The Only One." Their protestations reveal them, however. After
all, if a God or Goddess is "The One and Only," why would jealousy
and anger play such a part in their process?
When we are
willing to become one with All That Is, the matter is settled. At
one point in The Matrix, Neo asks Morpheus: "You mean that,
if I am The One, I will be able to dodge bullets?"
Morpheus
responds: "No, Neo. I'm saying that if you're The One, you won't
have to."
And so it
goes. Each of us, taking up our position as Christos within our
individual universe ("Christ in YOU, the hope of glory."), becomes
so much more than we ever thought we could be. We become our own
Moses and our own Promised Land. We live as humans, die daily to
separation and unbelief, and become reborn as saviors and messiahs
to our very own people! And it's all perceptual, you see? It happens
inwardly, in the twinkling of an eye, as blinders fall away from our
eyes.
At the
conclusion of their transmission on "The
Grand Game," the Reconnections put it this way, in one of my
favorite passages:
