When I was growing up in California, I was witness to the great "Signal Hill Fire"....just a few miles from my house......where scads of oil refineries burned steadily for 10 days, with various incidents of fireballs rolling down the street, hitting cars. We were scared half to death. My Dad and I hooked up the hose, on the front lawn, in case something happened suddenly in the middle of the night. This is nothing to sneeze at..........though I'm sure lots of sneezing and wheezing is involved.

DJ: I remember Joaquin when the winner was announced for the Oscars ....Best Actor.....He was nominated for "Walk the Line." The Oscar was won by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and the rage I saw in Joaquin's eyes (cool rage, like Caesar in the Gladiator movie)........told me that something may have "snapped."Here's what the AP said about his conversation concerning the changes:"Phoenix, in a recent interview with The Associated Press, said that he grew his beard as a way of distancing himself musically with his best-known acting role, Johnny Cash, in the 2005 movie “Walk the Line.” He acknowledged that his career change looked odd but said he is utterly serious about it.
“I have better things to do than just, like, (mess) around with people,” he said. “This is my life and this is my work, and this is the thing that I’ve been passionate about. Just because it’s hard for other people to recognize and to see that, look, I get it, dude. I know that it seems ... weird. ... But I can’t let that affect my life and the things that I want to do.”
He said: "because it's hard for people to recognize (my work)........" I truly believe that has to do with not getting full recognition for his performance in "Walk the Line." Like Heath Ledger in "Batman" and Jim Carrey in "Man in the Moon," I think sometimes actors became so entranced with the characters they play, that a kind of Personality SPLIT can occur. With Joaquin, I sense that we haven't seen the end of it. I do hope he gets what he needs during his time off. This feels like a serious danger sign.......particularly considering his family history........River's death, Drugs, etc..........Genius, bordering on Madness..........all that sort of stuff.
I deeply identify! I think a goodly portion of the world is migrating towards Madness/Genius Vibes.......and some of our more sensitive folks (especially young people) are just ACTING OUT some of that stuff for the rest of us...........

2012 MOVIE
Filming has begun on a new disaster movie, based on the End Times and the Mayan Prophecies. It stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, and Thandie Newton. Directed by famed-director Roland Emmerick, it should give everyone else a heart attack who hasn't already succumbed to fear status over the Financial Catastrophes! I do like John Cusack, and Emmerick was the Director who gave us "Frequency".........so it should be a funhouse ride, to be sure.
