IN LOVING MEMORY: Shirley Jean Simon 1933-2010
I'm sad, but also warmed to tell you that our dear friend Shirley Simon passed peacefully at 6 am Sunday morning. She muscled her way through 3 open-heart surgeries, installation of a pacemaker, congestive heart failure, pulmonary fibrosis, and multiplicitous aches and pains, which went on for months. When she passed, Shirley was surrounded by her whole family, who had a full day of lucidity and joy with her last Friday. It was Saturday that she began to go down into her "cosmic traveling energy." The hospice nurse told her: "We want to make you ready to go home." Shirley smiled an impish smile, pointed skyward, and mouthed the words: "I AM going home...." Sunday morning, she did just that. It was a storybook passing for a story book lady. We love you, Shirley Jean! And we will NEVER forget you.
Many of you remember Shirley from the Conclaves in Scotland (2002) and Portland (2003). During the latter gathering, she channeled a series of 52 symbols, like a Multiversal Deck of Cards---26 red (female) and 26 black (male)---some of which were featured on the cover of the Star Children CD, and are also prominent at the bottom of each Reconnections Transmission and many of my Articles as well.
Many have written to me, asking about the origin of these symbols---feeling a fond resonance with them. They are 100% Shirley Jean energy!
Shirley was one of the most AMAZING INFLUENCES in my life. I met her through my sister, Judy......who became friends with her about the time of the Harmonic Convergence (1987). In fact, Shirley and Judy were actually present on Mt. Shasta during that celebratory weekend. I remember them telling me about standing in long line in front of this one woman's house, there on the mountain, where an Angel was being broadcast on EVERY CHANNEL of the TV.....announcing to the amazing time that was about to begin on Planet Earth.

My blood sister, Judy, found it difficult to exercise her own psychic "gifts" much in physical life. She lived in Arkansas with a redneck kook of a husband who literally forbade her from reading her Tarot Cards, using her gifts of clairvoyance, and collecting crystals. Theirs was a bewildering relationship, to be sure. I cared for her husband, and we had many fine times, as a family....but I was well-aware that THIS TIME AROUND Judy was held captive by him in a curiously enmeshed and gloomy relationship.In consolation for not having a sister to "play metaphysics" with....Judy brought me Shirley.......who became my mentor, my teacher, my playmate, and one of my dearest friends.Nina and I visited her a couple of months ago, before her illnesses took their final toll. The other night, I had the most WONDERFUL sharing time with her on the phone.....pondering our many travels, and parties, and meditations together. When I hung up from that conversation, my heart of FULL.....as was hers. I never spoke physically to her again. But man, I certainly have been yakking a lot to her on the Inner Planes!
One of the best memories we shared on the phone was one day in Laguna Beach, California (where she used to have a house). Shirl and I were walking on this beautiful white sand......and we had stopped to lean up against this huge rock and watch the waves come in. As she leaned back against me, and I wrapped my arms around her, I noticed a man out of the corner of my eye with a camera and tripod.....taking our picture. She would snap a few shots, move a little closer, and snap a few more. I said to Shirley: "I think we're being photographed."By the time the man reached us, he explained that he worked for a local tourist magazine. He said he's rarely seen such love between two people, and wondered if we would sign waivers so he could publish the picture. Of course, we said "Yes." And then we giggled heartily about it for the rest of the afternoon.

Shirley was (and still is) a VERY SPECIAL WOMAN, with many connections in the Great Beyond. As one of her many friends said, tearfully, over the weekend.....
"Shirley will be fine! It's US who will be moaning....deprived of her physical company for yet a little while."
And I'm confident that
Shirley will be working steadily with humanity......from the
Other Side......as she continues her lifetime practice of
PLANETARY ACUPUNCTURE. She literally traveled
EVERYWHERE.......spreading Shirley Dust wherever she went.
As she will continue to do so......forever!
Our blessings to Shirley, and all her family at this time.
This time belongs to them now. We've had our DEEP DRINK at
the well of her kindness. And we'll continue to enjoy her,
as Nina said.....because she lives forever in our hearts.
