"Crossroads of the Ages"
Hello Friends,
I begin this Newsletter with the words of an old friend to many of
us.........Herman Hesse. This passage is from his famous
"Steppenwolf," a story which was, at once, perfect for its own time as well as
looking far ahead into ours. In this passage, a Narrator speaks about the
records and life experiences of one Harry Haller, a (self-proclaimed)
"Steppenwolf"..........(half man, half beast---lonely and desolate,by his own
admission). As I thought about the energetic shifts of these last few weeks, I
felt this passage to be quite apropos:
From STEPPENWOLF:
"NARRATOR: And now we come to these records of Harry Haller (The
Steppenwolf)---those partly diseased, partly beautiful, and thoughtful
fantasies..
I have been able, to some extent, to understand them, and even to appreciate
them.. I would hesitate to share them with others if I found in them nothing but
the pathological fantasies of a single and isolated temperament.. But I see
something more in them.. I see them as a document of the times, for Haller's
sickness of the soul, as I now know, is not the eccentricity of a single
individual, but the sickness of the times themselves---the neurosis of that
generation to which Haller belongs---a sickness, it seems, that by no means
attacks the weak and worthless only, but rather, precisely those who are
strongest in spirit and richest in gifts..
A remark of Haller's gave me the key to this interpretation.. He said to me once
when we were talking of the so-called horrors of the Middle Ages:
(HH) "These horrors were really nonexistent.. A man of the Middle Ages would
detest the whole mode of our present-day life as something far more horrible,
far more than barbarous.. Every age, every culture, every custom and tradition
has its own character, its own strength , its beauties and ugliness; accepts
certain sufferings as matters of course, puts up patiently with certain evils..
Human life is reduced to real suffering, to Hell, only when two ages, two
cultures, and religions overlap..
A man of the Classical Age who had to live in Medieval times would suffocate
miserably, just as a savage does in the midst of our civilization. Now there are
times when a whole generation is caught in this way between two ages, two modes
of life, with the consequence that it loses all power to understand itself and
has no standards, no security, no simple acquiescence.
Naturally, every one does not feel this equally strongly.. A nature such as
Nietzches's had to suffer our present ills more than a generation in advance..
What he had to go through, alone and misunderstood, thousands suffer today....."
NARRATOR (continues): I often had to think of these words while reading the
records.. Haller belongs to those who have been caught between two ages, who are
outside of all security and simple acquiescence.. He belongs to those whose fate
it is to live the whole riddle of human destiny heightened to a pitch of a
personal torture, a personal Hell..
Therein, it seems to me, lies the meaning of these records can have for us, and
because of this I decided to publish them.. For the rest, I neither approve nor
condemn them.. Let every reader do as his
conscience bids him..." (end excerpt)

"LABOR PAINS OF THE NEW HUMANITY"
My Dear Friends,
"These are difficult times, indeed. Many of you are crying out in panic and
physical pain. We feel this pain, and immediately dispatch assistance to comfort
and offer guidance to you. But often, you cannot feel it. Many more are
discouraged, locked in a profound state of despair. You wonder whether you will
be able to make it through this. Were we mistaken when we said that Mother Earth
is laboring to bring forth a New Humanity from her womb? Will the "baby" ever
arrive? Will the Mother even survive?
We recount these oft-expressed feelings and questions in this way so we can
remind you how close what you are all doing matches the labor experience of a
human mother, as she squeezes forth new life from her body. She wails, breathing
deeply, and feels as though she must surely die! In this way, she momentarily
embraces the very "Root Essence" of Third Dimensional Existence--she becomes a
Bridge between life and death.
This happens within each of you, day in and day out. You breathe in, you live.
You breathe out, you die. You pulse fresh blood to your body's organs, you
return spent blood to your organs of filtration and elimination. In, out, the
pulse of life--daily, hourly, moment-by-moment. A woman in deep labor is being
called upon to let go of something that she has been cradling and nurturing in
her womb for many months. It has become a part of her. How can she now separate
herself from it? But she must! For this baby will not be denied. The baby
demands his or her place in this world! And so, the labor continues........."

As many of you may notice, one of the primary challenges we now face is dealing
with our Emotional Body as we realize the changes that are (most definitely)
coming upon us. On many levels, we are VERY UPSET, as was Harry Haller in Herman
Hesse's book. To quote him directly (and Hesse too, I'm sure):
"I cannot understand nor share these (human) joys, though they are within my
reach, for which thousands (nay, millions) of others strive. I am crazy. I am in
truth the Steppenwolf that I often call myself; that beast astray who finds
neither home nor joy nor nourishment in a world that is strange and
incomprehensible to him......." (H.H.)
In no other area of life will these feelings be made known more vividly than in
the Realm of Relationships and Sexuality. And, if you noticed the increase in
Earth Rumblings lately (Eastern U.S. and Spain), you'll understand why the
Guides have prompted me to repost some of the most pertinent precepts from their
Spirituality and Sex Series, adding new insights as we go along.
It seems now that we are not merely between Two Ages, as was mentioned in the
above passage. It feels more like we are at a CROSSROADS for SEVERAL AGES,
collectively preparing a suitable denoument for a rapidly declining 3D
Separation Paradigm, while simultaneously giving birth to an entirely new way of
being. Because of this, the "dual nature" that was lameneted by Harry in his
rugged autobiographical ramblings is expanded into a MULTIPLICITY, of Grand
Proportion, which not only knocks steadily on the Gates of Hell, but opens wide
the Gates of Heaven and all levels of existence in between.
You will hear more about this from me very soon. In the meantime, you may enjoy
