Peacemakers: Calibrators are natural catalysts, able to join anything with anything else. Using themselves as the primary link, they create a neutral, buffered environment within which diverse energies are able to freely mix and mingle.
Closets With Two Doors: The Reconnections often speak about "Gate Keepers," whose life essence is like unto a "closet with two doors." One door opens to the Multiverse, and one door opens to 3D reality. Within the confines of that closet, there is a magical transformation that happens..... making visits between the worlds possible. Remember the function of that wardrobe, in C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia? A closet with two doors. That's what these people are like.
Alchemists: Their life purpose is "mixing and mingling" energies, for the purpose of facilitating transformation. Their bodies and souls are cauldrons, into which are poured a whole host of wonderful and awesome concoctions! They are wonders to behold.
Universally Loving and Accepting: Calibrators are naturally alkaline in nature. They are "user-friendly" to almost any community. They relate to people in diverse ways, with a minimum of judgment. It is not unusual for Calibrators to have a whole "menagerie" of friends who absolutely LOVE THEM, one-to-one........but could CONSUME each other, if they met together in physical space.
Fair Minded: Because their primary motivation is "mixing and blending," Calibrators can usually see ALL sides of a dispute quite clearly. They are frequently consulted, as mediators, and do a fine job of it, when left to themselves.
Considerate: Because they operate clearly on the belief that everyone and everything is truly a part of themselves, Calibrators tend to be quite sensitive to the feelings of others, and they work quite well in service with Consolers and Exhorters.
Resilient: One might say that a Calibrator has lots of endurance. In truth, they are naturally resilient because they are minimally involved in resisting the nature of people or things. When you spend your life looking for ways to JOIN people, there is not a huge outflow of resistance energy.
Curious: People with this gift tend to have a huge interest in the diversity and color of life. They are always on the lookout for the new and unusual. That is how they end up with a "menagerie" of friends! They innately know when people are open for sharing, and they are quick to give space to those who need it.
Eager and Able to Please: Calibrators have an excellent capacity to please people. They innately know what people want, and they are willing to provide it, so long as they sense that the people they serve are interested in personal expansion. The minute that a person begins to sound bigoted or closed down, a Calibrator will stop worrying about pleasing that person, and may even become a bit pointed, in an effort to restore them to an "open" place again. Calibrators and Prophets can function very similarly, in these types of situations.
Gregarious and Community-Oriented: Though Calibrators can be excellent dance partners, in a one-to-one relationship, they tend to become bored if they are forced to remain in that state too long. Though many of them rejuvenate their energy in solitude, Calibrators are basically social animals, and require plenty of stimulation and variety to stay healthy and alive.
Calibration--Practiced to an Extreme
Their desire to create harmony can often lead a Calibrator to sacrifice personal comfort, and even physical health, at times. They are empathic, and can pick up other people's shadows, if they aren't careful.
Insistence on remaining "open and available" for new contacts sometimes makes it seem as if the friends a Calibrator already has aren't enough for him.
One of the power points of all "Bridge Gifts" is their ability to sincerely merge with BOTH SIDES of any realm or philosophical premise. If they linger too long on one side of an issue or the other, they will begin to transform into that position. For Calibrators, this would manifest as equating themselves with those who pass through their Gate, rather than realizing that they are the Gate, itself. The appearance of illness or bodily discomfort is often an indicator that they have gotten off kilter, and identified more with one particular type of passenger, rather than being ALL passengers.
People with this gift come sometimes become intoxicated with how flexible they can be, in the mixing and mingling of intense energies. This can cause suffering in people who tap into their energy, and don't have the same alkaline nature to neutralize the intensity that is there.
Their continuous need for community and variety can make it hard to get to know a Calibrator, unless you are willing to ride the roller coaster of his or her energy, day-in and day-out.
Character Defects are simply Charismation Attributes, being practiced to an extreme--unconsciously or without a sense of Oneself Integrity.
