Mysticism

“In mysticism that love of truth which we saw as the beginning of all philosophy leaves the merely intellectual sphere, and takes on the assured aspect of a personal passion. Where the philosopher guesses and argues, the mystic lives and looks; and speaks, consequently, the disconcerting language of first-hand experience, not the neat dialectic of the schools. Hence whilst the Absolute of the metaphysicians remains a diagram —impersonal and unattainable—the Absolute of the mystics is lovable, attainable, alive.”

― Evelyn Underhill

What is Mystical Experience? How does it manifest in YOU? There are times when I meditate, or upon entering or leaving the dream state.....where I experience VIVID DEPICTIONS of other times, other places. It is as though I am watching a movie inside my third eye. During these times, I'm aware that my consciousness is different. I can float, as it were, upon a sea of IS-ness, enjoying the profundity of my vision.........UNTIL......some part of me begins asking questions: "Where is this?" "What is this?" The minute that happens, the image is gone, and I am back in dualistic thinking. It seems very clear that simply BEING in those realms is certainly allowed. However, trying to comprehend or understand them invokes some sort of "default safety feature," which automatically terminates the connection. The more I FLOW, the deeper and wider is the scope of my Inner Experience. The more I seek to UNDERSTAND or ENCAPSULATE.......the quicker my journey is over. When we do this......try to encapulate......it seems to be looked on like someone visiting a museum, trying to steal one of the artifacts. It's a NO-NO!

We begin where we are.  How can it be otherwise?  If we don’t know where we are, how can we know where we wish to go---or even that we haven’t already arrived?  The Magical Manifesting Mind is constructed in such a way that it never says “No or Not.”  We verbalize a subject or desire, and the mind says:  “Yes.  Alright, here you are.”  And why wouldn’t it?  Where else could something be but HERE?

"When something manifests in your 3D world, it arrives because you *called for it* with your mind and heart. It makes little difference whether your call was a conscious one, or whether it was something that was issued from beneath your Veil of Forgetfulness."

~The Reconnections

The real issue, then, is perception.  How much do we wish to perceive, and which perceptions do we want to come first?  With all these “yes” answers stacking up in a person’s consciousness---which scenarios get precedence over the others?  After all, 3D is limited territory---and we can’t perceive everything all at once and truly appreciate it.  A lot of this is spoken about in the transmission “Linear Flow.”  I would invite the reader to review that material if you feel the nee.

"God is not external, but is present within all things; thought they are ignorant this is so."

~Plotinus

I would have to amend the above quote to say: "Though they are OFTEN ignorant this is so." More and more, humanity is beginning to LIFT THE VEIL, peering behind it.......(or, rather, FROM behind it).......to see the vast expanse of alternative "otherness" from what we've come to believe is All There is. When I think of "Mysicism," I think of the MISTS which separated the Ancient Island of Avalon and Glastonbury Abbey, which came to symbolize the World of "Normalized" Religion. MIST-icism, then, consists of the "art" each of us practices to transcend (go beyond) that which separates us from the Magical and the Sublime! Regardless of what may often be preached and bargained........such practices may only be developed and perpetuated in the "Laboratory" of a person's own solitary experience. Though Religion (be in Mainstream Traditional or New Age).....represents an attempt to institutionalize and standardize that which was always meant to be personal and ever-evolving.........captured moment-by-moment within the cauldron of each individual heart!

“The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me; my eye and God's eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, one love.”

~Meister Eckhart

Love is the law, love under will.
